Stress inoculation is like a kind of vaccine that teaches us how to cope and relax in the face of a wide variety of stressful experiences. Training includes learning to relax using deep breathing and rapid differential muscle relaxation so that whenever anxiety is experienced, wherever and whenever, one can relax tension. - The first step is to make a personal list of stressful situations for us and order it from the least stressful items to the most stressful.

The more situations the better and the more stress-coping thoughts we can use as an alternative to counteract the old automatic anxious thoughts, the better.
